Claire Denis, the French filmmaker who directed Robert Pattinson in her English-language debut, High Life (2018), will be collaborating with Pattinson again for her romantic thriller, The Stars at Noon, according to IndieWire. An adaptation of the 1986 Denis Johnson novel, The Stars at Noon is set during the Nicaraguan Revolution in 1984, with Pattinson starring as an enigmatic English businessman who falls for an American journalist (Margaret Qualley) before being forced to try and flee the country. It will mark Pattinson’s return to the indie scene after Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020) and Matt Reeves’s The Batman (2021), as well as his fifth A24 feature overall.

Casting calls are out for Riddler, Penguin, Catwoman, and Two-Face in Matt Reeves’s The Batman (2021) before the reboot starts shooting early next year, with Robert Pattinson (the titular Bruce Wayne) as the only performer signed on so far, according to Forbes. Jeffrey Wright and Jonah Hill are in negotiations, with Wright expected to play Gotham City Police Department Commissioner Jim Gordon, and Hill, either Penguin or Riddler. “The Batman” is currently a working title, and the filmmaker is slated to direct a trilogy of films, but future installments may cross over with the upcoming Batgirl and Nightwing projects from Warner Bros.
New casting announcements for Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” (2020)

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Kenneth Branagh have been cast in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming international espionage epic, Tenet (2020), according to Variety. Their co-stars will include Clémence Poésy, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, Elizabeth Debicki, Robert Pattinson, and leading man John David Washington. Shooting is taking place on location in seven countries, with director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema mixing together a cocktail of Imax and 70mm film for the big screen, and Warner Brothers will distribute the action movie worldwide July 17, 2020; Nolan is also serving as co-producer for his own original screenplay, alongside his wife, Emma Thomas, their follow-up to the critical and commercial triumph, Dunkirk (2017).
